YALI Africa Alumni Marketplace 2020 for RLC Alumni

The four YALI Regional Leadership Centers, in partnership with USAID, are honored to host this inaugural event which will take place at the YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa in late March 2021, conditions permitting.

Forty select alumni will be invited to showcase their projects, products, or services to YALI Africa partners. This platform will present spaces for networking and collaboration for all who participate. Breakout sessions, lightning talks, a networking event, and an Expo are being planned for the two-day event. Alumni not present in-person will have an opportunity to engage and interact virtually with the event via YALI Africa social media platforms.

Benefits of YALI Africa Alumni Marketplace Award

In-person participation in the Marketplace is limited to forty (40) alumni across the continent with each of the Regional Leadership Centers selecting ten representatives to participate.

If you are selected to attend, event costs, travel, and accommodation will be covered by YALI Africa.

Requirements for YALI Africa Alumni Marketplace Award

1. RLC Alumnus must be from one of the 4 RLCs
2. Prioritized sectors are agriculture, circular economy, energy, health, education, technology, journalism, media, the arts, fashion, entertainment, and any other innovative ideas in social, governance and civil society
3. Applicants could be:
   1. the owner of or play a leading role in a company, social enterprise, non-profit organization, community project, or advocacy group already making a difference in their communities, or
   2. have started the project and its growth potential is demonstrable, or
   3. have collaborated with the Government to bring about tangible change in the public space.
