Florida State University is currently waiving the GRE requirement for most Master’s and Specialists programs (excluding The College of Business). This waiver aims to provide easier access to graduate studies for prospective students.
We are currently accepting graduate applications for Spring 2025, Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. Readmissions students may apply for Spring 2025, Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. However, many academic programs admit only for a specific term. Prospective applicants must contact the academic program for available terms.

Applicants benefit from a waived GRE requirement for many programs, reducing the barriers to applying for graduate study.
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution. Applicants must meet a minimum GPA requirement and, for certain programs, submit standardized test scores.
Applicants are evaluated through a two-fold process: the Office of Admissions assesses eligibility for university admission, and the academic department or college determines admissibility to the specific degree program. Admission decisions are based on academic qualifications, including GPA, standardized test scores, recommendation letters, transcripts, and other departmental requirements.
