The African Investigative Journalism Conference (#AIJC2024), in partnership with SKUP, the Association for Critical and Investigative Press in Norway, and Bellingcat, will host an intensive training course on the latest investigative journalism techniques, taking place over three days immediately preceding the annual AIJC conference scheduled for 30 October to 1 November 2024 at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Benefits of AIJC Masterclass fellowships
- Selected fellows will participate in an intensive training course conducted by Bellingcat, focusing on digital forensics, verification, and OSINT tools.
- Fellows will have the opportunity to attend the AIJC conference and additional training sessions.
- Fellows can apply for additional support covering travel and accommodation, excluding home-country transport, insurance, visas, personal in-country transport, or hotel incidentals.
- Participation in the conference offers the chance to network with leading investigative journalists and media professionals from around the world.
Requirements for AIJC Masterclass fellowships
- Applicants must have a proven track record in investigative journalism, demonstrated through their work history and application answers.
- Candidates should be trainers or educators in investigative journalism from African countries.
- Selection will be based on the quality of recent work and responses provided in the application
- .Applicants must be available to attend from 27 October to 1/2/3 November 2024, and travel from 25/26 October to 1/2/3 November 2024.
- A valid passport is required for international travel.
- If necessary, applicants must arrange their own visas.
