This scholarship, offered by the Ibadan Descendants' Union of Greater Washington DC, USA, aims to support financially disadvantaged students of Ibadan origin who are pursuing higher education in Nigeria.

Benefits of IDU USA Undergraduate Scholarship

• Successful candidates will receive the benefit of a full scholarship from the organization that will cover their full tuition fees.
• The payment will be made directly to the school on behalf of the awardee.

Requirements for IDU USA Undergraduate Scholarship

• Candidate must be a native of Ibadan.
• Candidate must be in good standing both academically and morally.
• Candidate must provide evidence of need.
• Must be currently enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in any of Nigerian institutions of higher education.

Selection Process

• Applications must be received between 12:00AM on March 15, 2025, and 11:59 PM on March 31, 2025 (NIGERIAN TIME).
• Applications received outside this specific time period will NOT be considered.
• Only successful candidates will be contacted.
• The IDU Scholarship selection committee will make final decisions and successful candidates will be contacted accordingly.
• Only applications with all the required information will be considered.

Application Documents

• Recent passport sized photograph.
• A copy of your MOST CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR official school transcript showing a
  minimum of 3.65 on a 4.0 scale cumulative GPA or a minimum of 4.65 on a 5.0 scale
  cumulative GPA
• Evidence of need
• Brief paragraph stating the reasons you should be selected for this scholarship, your field of study or major, and how it will benefit the society.
• Letter of recommendation from the head of your department or faculty dean.
