The Transcorp story began in November 2004 when the Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc was incorporated. In 2008, Transcorp Energy was established and to further grow the budding conglomerate’s portfolio, Transcorp Group won the bid for Ughelli Power Plc, now Transcorp Power Ltd in 2012.

In 2013, Transcorp became the sole owner of the 51% controlling shares in Transnational Hospitality & Tourism Services Limited, now Transcorp Hotels Plc, further establishing the business as a diversified conglomerate and in 2015, Transcorp Hotels Plc was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Over the years, the Transcorp Group has shown consistency in growth and innovation. In 2020, Transcorp Group fully acquired TransAfam Power Ltd, increasing its power play in the industry, and generating capacity. In 2021, the group launched Aura by Transcorp Hotels, through it’s hospitality business, Transcorp Hotels Plc.
