Tokyo Anime Award Festival(TAAF) is focusing to find and development of new talented creators, and promote animation culture all over the world. Under the slogan “TOKYO is the HUB of contemporary ANIMTION”, we are showing high quality and originality animated films from all over the world in Tokyo. And provide opportunity for personal exchange among people who love animation, and give them an impetus and thrilling. And we send it’s impetus and thrilling to the world from Tokyo.
TAAF2021 is an international animated film festival which started from 2014, by becoming independent from Tokyo International Anime Fair which had been held from 2002. TAAF2021 is the eighth edition of TAAF. The festival includes the Competition for world animation unreleased in Japan, the Anime of the Year for animation released in Japan, the Achievement Award that celebrates the history, technical achievements of lifestyle of industry predecessors for the honoring of people who have contributed to the animation industry, special screenings, and so on.
