In 2014, the Senate Research Grant Committee chaired by Professor Obinna Onwujekwu called for multidisciplinary Research Groups to be registered in the University. Professor Fab Obeta took the initiative to create the PSRRG whose focuse is to engage in applied research aimed at making contributions to public sector reforms that appears to be continous. The PSRRG was one of the 211 research groups that was favoured by the Senate Research Grant Committee and was consequently registered and initially sponsored by the University.
Based in the Department of Public Administration and Local Government in the University, the group led by Professor Fab Onah is made up of Professors, Associate Professors(Readers), Senior Lecturers and other Accademic staff. Since it's inception, the group has worn many research grants and training programs. It has also Published many articles arising from the various research endevours.
The PSRRG is open to accademic staff and researchers from various fields of endevour who have interest in human resource management, human capital develeopment, development administration, financial management, local government administration and public policy analysis.
