The university has ranked fourth among top 100 worldwide universities granted US Utility Patents in 2018. The report of this rank was published by the American National Academy of Inventors (NAI).The US-based Stanford University has recently released a list that represents the top 2 percent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The exhaustive list has 1,59,683 researchers, of which more than 60 researchers are professors currently employed at KFUPM.
