Aim and Benefits of IBM Research Africa Internship Program

The internship will provide selected students the unique opportunity to work with world-class scientists based in Nairobi and around the globe as part of the world’s largest research organization. 


Requirements for IBM Research Africa Internship Program Qualification

  1. MS Degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields  
  2. Safely integrating novel code into larger projects
  3. Design, validation, and characterization of algorithms and/or systems 
  4. Contributing to open source projects

Interview date, Process and Venue for IBM Research Africa Internship Program

Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent coding (Python) and communication skills to quickly make contributions to research projects over the course of a few months.  We will be giving preference to students with backgrounds in anomalous pattern detection, deep learning (PyTorch or Tensorflow) or Trustworthy AI concepts such as: bias, explainability, or causality.
