The University of Manchester presents an an opportunity for International Students to complete their higher studies with ease by applying for the Global Futures Scholarship.

The scholarship award is rganized by the University of Manchester and is open to both undergraduate and master’s students. 

The University of Manchester introduced the scholarship award, intending to provide some support to needy students willing to acquire higher and quality education but are not capable of paying for the high-cost educational expenses.

The University will offer awards totalling £300,000 to international students, commencing their studies in September 2021.

UNDERGRADUATE

1. Successful applicants will receive £5,000 for the first year of study with a further £5,000 awarded in the second year of study, conditional on attainment of 60% average in the first year.

Requirements for University of Manchester Undergraduate Scholarship

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

1. Applicants must have, or be working towards, either A-levels or the IB Diploma qualification and must be applying for direct first year entry.
2. Applicants for the African awards must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time programme at Manchester and must submit an online scholarship application form by 20 May 2021 with awards made following the confirmation of IB and A-level results in July and August 2021. The application form will be emailed to all relevant offer-holders.
3. Applicants will be considered for the award based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application.
4. Applicants must be self-funded (ie not sponsored).
5. Applicants for Medicine (MBChB) Dentistry (BDS) or Architecture degrees are not eligible for the award.
6. Applicants must have selected The University of Manchester as their firm or insurance UCAS choice by 10 June 2021.

Due to differences in the Nigeria and UK education systems, applicants who have completed the WASSCE will need to successfully complete a University-recognised foundation programme before joining an undergraduate course.
