The UBD Graduate Scholarship (UGS) is awarded to outstanding scholars, students and professionals to undertake graduate study and advanced research in Universiti Brunei Darussalam. 

The scholarship provides Bruneian and non-Bruneian candidates the unique opportunity to pursue their academic and research goals and network extensively with international researchers.

Almost all academic fields and majors are available at UBD including Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity, and Integrated Technologies. This scholarship will cover all the expenses to study postgraduate degree programs.

Benefits of Universiti Brunei Darussalam Masters Scholarship

1. Waived tuition fees, including registration and acceptance fees at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
2. A subsistence allowance of BND 500.00 per month for 36 months.
3. On-campus accomodation for 36 months.
4. For candidates not residing in Brunei Darussalam, one round trip economy class air ticket will be provided from their home country upon accepting the scholarship and to their home country upon completion of their studies.
5. Allowances for field research (BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities, and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates)

The Scholarship Duration at the University of Brunei is Divided into 3 categories such as:

1. Master by Coursework: The Period of study will be twelve (12) months full time or eighteen (18) months depending on the program.
2. Master by Research: The Period of study will be twenty-four (24) months full-time.
3. Doctor of Philosophy: The Minimum period of study will be thirty-six (36) months full time or sixty (60) months part-time depending on the program.

Requirements for Universiti Brunei Darussalam Masters Scholarship

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

1. All Students who are belonging to Brunei & any other country are eligible to apply.
2. Applicants must hold First Class Bachelors Degree to apply for the Master Degree.
3. Masters Degree certificate is required to apply for Doctoral Degree Program.
4. High quality and impactful research proposal.
5. Fit to pursue studies in the area of choice.
6. Must Satisfy the English Language Requirements.
