The Josephine Kponee Fellowship Award was created with the purpose of sponsoring academic, research, and technological projects in support of higher education for Ogoni women. Inspired by Josephine Kponee, an Ogoni woman who valued education in young women, the award strives to empower promising young Ogoni women.

The foundation will award a phenomenal Ogoni student with a full tuition scholarship over the course of their academic program and payment of a yearly stipend for academic materials and necessary living expenses.
The top applicants from each cycle will be designated “finalists” and will participate in an interview with the organization founders. The award recipient, selected from the top finalists, will be notified by the end of each year, and must have an in-person interview in Port Harcourt with the Chief Operating Officer to receive stipend and tuition support. Additionally, she must have her school ID card, local government identification letter, and tuition statement verified by the Chief Operating Officer to receive tuition support. She will begin to receive stipend and tuition support from the program in the beginning of each academic year.
