The NNPC/Renaissance Joint Venture Niger Delta Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme is a prestigious initiative aimed at supporting academically outstanding students from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria in pursuing postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. This scholarship is targeted at developing future leaders in the energy and engineering sectors and is open to candidates who demonstrate strong academic ability, leadership potential, and a clear commitment to return and contribute to their communities.

Benefits of NNPC Postgraduate Scholarship

The scholarship covers the following:

• Full tuition fees for one of the eligible postgraduate programs

• One economy class return flight from Nigeria to the UK

• A contribution towards living expenses for the duration of the program

Requirements for NNPC Postgraduate Scholarship

• Have been offered admission to study on one of the Eligible Courses at the College having applied through the normal application process;
• display intellectual ability and leadership potential;
• have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 in IELTS) and meet the College’s language requirement.
• already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the Scholarship) a degree of an equivalent standard to a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree
• must have completed their National Youth Service by September 2025
• be ordinarily resident in the Rivers, Imo, Delta or Bayelsa State of Nigeria, and who intend to return to Nigeria at the end of the period of study
• have not already had the chance of studying in the UK or other developed country.
• be aged between 21-28 years by 30/09/2025.
• currently reside in Nigeria
• plan to return to Nigeria on completion of the proposed programme of study.
• have a Nigerian international passport valid till December 2026
• not be Employees, employees’ relatives (or former employees who have left employment less than 5 years before) of Renaissance Africa Energy Company or the College will not be eligible to apply for the Scholarships.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for interviews conducted by Renaissance, and final award decisions will be made thereafter. While employment at Renaissance post-study is not guaranteed, scholars are encouraged to apply for roles upon completing their program.
