Modul University Vienna International Scholarships in Austria 2019 - 2020

Modul University Vienna (MU), Austria is an internationally-oriented organization for research and education on tourism, sustainable development, new media technology, and public governance.

Currently the university is inviting applications from eligible international students to apply for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for the 2019/2020 academic session.

The selected masters scholarship students  pursuing Masters of Business Administration will have the option to specialize in the following subject areas:

• Digital Marketing
• Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership
• Innovation and Experience Design for Tourism
• Real Estate Management
• Sustainable Management and Governance.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student should provide proof of a Bachelor university degree with a minimum duration of three years or completion of an equivalent degree relevant to the content of the study program
and have minimum of three years professional experience.

Modul University Vienna Masters Scholarship Courses

Requirements for Modul University Vienna Masters Scholarship

  1. Proof of a Bachelor university degree with a minimum duration of three years or completion of an equivalent degree relevant to the content of the study program
  2. A minimum of three years professional experience
  3. In exceptional cases, admission of persons who do not hold a university degree is possible if they can provide proof of an equivalent qualification. This can be e.g. diploma courses, further education plus extensive and relevant professional experience as well as other career related achievements. In this case, proof of a secondary school leaving certificate must be provided
  4. Proof of English proficiency for non-native speakers: at least 2 years of secondary or higher education in English, C1 level on an internationally recognized language test (i.e. IELTS 6.5 (no sub-score under 6.0), TOEFL 88 Internet-Based Test, Cambridge Certificate CAE or BEC (Grade A)), or satisfying the Admissions Committee in a form deemed appropriate by the Committee
  5. To gain acceptance, applicants must pass a formal admission interview (in person or video Skype)

Scholarship winners will be selected based on a holistic approach which considers the following criteria:

  6. Community involvement

FAQs

Who can write my letters of recommendation?

Please provide two letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources (e.g. current or previous employers, bachelor thesis supervisor, etc).

How is the program structured?

Blocked courses take place once a month on 2-4 consecutive weekdays and weekends. Courses involve two days of interactive seminars. Please visit the course overview for more information.

What courses will I take?

If I win a scholarship, when will I have to start the program?

All winners for this scholarship call must begin their studies on September 18th, 2019.

Can I get a tax reduction for studying an MBA?

Possibly. If you pay taxes in Austria, you may be able to claim an educational tax credit. Please visit educational tax credit for graduate studies or the Austrian Finanzamt for more information.

If I win a partial scholarship, do I have to pay the remaining fees all at once?

No. You can pay in four equal installments.

How can I apply for the scholarship?

Can I apply for the scholarship even if I have not yet completed an English language test?

Yes. You can submit your proof of English proficiency at the latest before the start of your studies. We require a C1 level of English on an internationally recognized language test (i.e. IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 88 Internet-Based Test, Cambridge Certificate CAE).

Alternatively, you can sit the Modul University Admissions English Entrance Exam. If you have already studied in English for at least two years or if English has been your working language for several years, the test may be waived on an individual basis.
