Leventis Fellowship 2020 for Nigerian Academics at SOAS, University of London

The Centre of African Studies of the University of London UK invites applications from Nigerian academics to take part in a scheme of collaborative research funded by the Leventis Foundation.

The fellowship is awarded in libraries and archives and to participate in the intellectual life of the Centre.

Leventis Foundation is funding fellowship for younger scholars to develop their research interests in the field of libraries and archives and to participate in the intellectual life of the Center. Nigerian academics are eligible for this research fellowship. Duration of fellowship is of three months. The scheme might be particularly appropriate for scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form. Send your application by post.

About Leventis Fuundation

The Leventis Foundation (Nigeria) is a charitable company of the A.G Leventis Group dedicated to the training of farmers in modern and sustainable agricultural practices and rational use of natural resources. The Foundation has been running agricultural training for youths and farmers since 1987 and currently has six schools in the different agro-ecological zones of Nigeria. The schools located in the FCT, Osun, Kaduna, Kano and Gombe states are co-financed by Leventis Foundation and the respective State Governments. Interview date, Process and Venue for Leventis Foundation-SOAS Research Fellowship

Applications are considered by a Steering Committee in London. Emails will be sent to the applicants informing them of the Committee’s decision soon after the deadline of 31st March.

  1. A complete curriculum vitae (maximum 2 pages)
  2. A statement of current research interests (of not more than 1,000 words) specifying the aims to be achieved during the research period in London
  3. One academic reference letter supporting the application (sent directly from the email account of the referee to [email protected]
