Educational Pathways International Scholarships for Undergraduates, Ghana 2019-2020

The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) is accepting 2019/20 applications for the award of Scholarships from the Educational Pathways International scholarship scheme.

The scholarships are designed for high achievers Gifted Student, hailing from areas of need, who have already been accepted and registered at either the University of Ghana, Accra or Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

The prospective candidates are required to visit the Student Aid office at one of these EPI partner universities at the start of the fall semester to see if they qualify for the scholarship.

To be eligible for the award, you should be a 100 level residing in an impoverished part of the country, who attended a less endowed school (GES approved)

Benefits of University of Ghana Undergraduate Scholarship

The Scholarship will cover tuition, books, as well as room and board, and a little extra and will be awarded for four years as long as excellent academic standards of at least a B CGPA (3.0 GPA) continue to be met

Requirements for University of Ghana Undergraduate Scholarship

  1. are a Level 100 student.
  2. reside in an impoverished part of the country.
  3. attended a less endowed school (GES approved)
  4. are able to demonstrate limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover most or all educational related expenses.
  5. have the will to succeed (determination, perseverance and success in other pursuits).
  6. obtained an aggregate of 11 or better at the WASSCE.
  7. are a Level 200 continuing student with CGPA of 3.5 (limited slot) or
  8. a female Level 300 or above continuing student with CGPA of 3.7 (limited slot)
  9. confirm that you are not currently receiving support through any other scholarship program and pledge not to accept any other scholarship while in the EPI program.
  10. are upon graduation, willing to work for a minimum of two years in Ghana.
  11. will during non-school periods, work in a company as an internship or do community service within Ghana
  12. are a gifted child
  13. Medical students both Level 100 and continuing (CGPA 3.5) are encouraged to apply

  1. High School Transcripts (Terminal Reports)
  2. West African Senior School Certificate Exam Results (WASSCE)
  3. University Acceptance Letter
  4. Records regarding achievement tests, academic awards, honors, and substantive assessments by teachers, including letters of recommendation.
  5. Documents to substantiate your need

How to Apply

Submit a completed SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION and the required essays. The essays include:

  1. Describe your academic and career goals. How will your studies contribute to your future career?
  2. The EPI Scholarship is designed for students who are gifted and from families of great financial need. Please attach an essay describing why you feel you qualify for this scholarship.
  3. How do you expect, upon graduation that you will help in the future development of Ghana?
