Deakin University International Scholarship - Australia 2020-2021

 

The Deakin University, Australia is offering the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships and Deakin International Scholarships to high achieving international students of any field of study (Art or Science) who wish to enrol for a degree program at the Institution, to study any course of their choice.

Deakin recognizes students with consistently high academic performance and the potential to make a leading contribution to the university and its communities and those are the type of students they want at their esteemed institution.

Students who have an impressive academic record and meet other requirements are invited by the university to apply.

Benefits of Deakin University Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Successful applicants will receive: 

  1. A full 100% tuition scholarship or a 50% partial tuition scholarship; 
  2. Acceptance into Deakin’s signature student leadership program: the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP).

Requirements for Deakin University Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

  1. Be prospective international students
  2. Be eligible to study at Deakin University 
  3. Not have accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary
  4. Meet the academic criteria:- Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: An 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies - Deakin International Scholarship: A 65% average (or equivalent) in previous studies

Selection Process

Participation in the VCPEP is a requirement for all Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship recipients. The program provides personalised support to scholars to help them achieve their personal and professional goals during their time at Deakin. Application Documents

Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship applicants are required to provide:

  1. Completed Deakin International Scholarship Program application form (see reverse side of this flyer)
  2. Personal statement (300 words)
  3. Two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  4. Completed application to study at Deakin, including academic transcripts.

Benefits of Deakin University Deakin International Scholarship

Successful applicants will receive: 

  1. 25% partial tuition scholarship
  2. Unsuccessful applicants of the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Selection Process

Selection of successful applicants for the fixed number of scholarships will be competitive and may require average scores above the stated minimum requirements.

    Your personal statement must be written by you and reflect your personal views. It should contain:

    • an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University
    • an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
    • why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University
    • any other information that will assist your application.
