What You’ll Learn
Over the course of 12 weeks, beneficiaries will:
- Gain practical, in-depth knowledge of API security mapped to the OWASP API Top 10.
- Learn secure authentication and authorization techniques.
- Learn to secure API servers and gateways
- Complete hands-on API penetration testing and vulnerability reporting projects.
- Tackle advanced topics like securing AI-powered APIs.
Requirements for CyberSafe Foundation API Security Training Program
- Women aged 20-40 years old, anywhere in the world.
- Students, graduates, or professionals who already have a background in cybersecurity through formal study, training, or work.
- Applicants who are familiar with basic cybersecurity concepts, such as threats, vulnerabilities, and testing approaches.
- Prior knowledge of web technologies like HTTP, REST, and JSON is expected but not compulsory.
- Applicants must be committed to completing all 12 weeks and dedicate 6 to 8 hours per week to labs and assignments.
What You’ll Need
- A laptop with at least 8GB RAM and a stable internet.
- Ability to install security tools such as Burp Suite, Postman, and command line utilities.
- Curiosity and discipline to practice offensive security testing.
