The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN) USA, Inc. is pleased to announce the official opening of the 2025/2026 AKISAN Scholarship Program. The initiative underscores AKISAN’s relentless commitment to investing in education, empowering youth, and supporting academic excellence both in the United States and in Nigeria.

AKISAN Scholarship Program for Undergraduates Benefits

The AKISAN Scholarship Program is awarded in two categories;

• $500 for 10 students studying in the USA
• N100,000 for 62 students studying in Nigerian institutions

Requirements for AKISAN Scholarship Program for Undergraduates

• Applicants must be indigenes of Akwa Ibom State.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a Nigerian institution of higher learning (University, Polytechnic, College of Education, or Maritime Academy) and submit a certificate of origin along with a recent transcript or WAEC result for first-year students.
• Applicant must be Undergraduates students.
• Applicants must be registered for the semester in which the scholarship is granted.
• Applicant must have minimum GPA of 2.5 undergraduate or a High School GPA of 3.0 (on a 5.0 scale) for first-year undergraduates.
