You'll have the chance to share your story with a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for preserving and celebrating the rich history of Africa.

Benefits of Afrorama Oral History Competition

• You’ll have the chance to share your story with a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for preserving and celebrating the rich history of Africa.

Requirements for Afrorama Oral History Competition

• Open to afro-optimists aged over 18 years old.
• Entries should be between 60 and 90 seconds long, and tell a unique story.
• Entries can be in your language (with a transcript in English or French) will have to be provided).
• Entries have to follow our submission guidelines.

Selection Process

Judging Criteria:

• Entries will be reviewed by our judges, each representing a region of the continent.

Timeline:

• 25 May 2023: Competition opens
• 31 August 2023: Competition closes
• 29 September 2023: Winners announced
