The University of California, Davis (UCD) has opened registration for Class V of the African Plant Breeding Academy to African students who possess a PhD or Masters and are interested in taking a class in breeding.
This six-week program will be delivered in three 2-week classes with session one beginning in Nairobi, Kenya on November, 2019. The students will be taught by instructors who are internationally recognized experts in plant breeding and seed technology. Scholarships are available for select students to attend this prestigious program.
All participants for the programme must be based in Africa and must be actively managing a breeding programme of their own with significant plant breeding experience
and have taken courses in statistics, genetics and breeding.
