2025 Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre Legislative Internship for Young Nigerians

Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) is implementing a 10-week full-time internship program with support from the European Union (EU) for young Nigerians who wish to gain knowledge of legislative practice and process at the National Assembly.

PLAC Legislative Internship Benefits

Only stipends to cover transportation and lunch costs within Abuja will be provided

Note: Other logistics expenses will be borne by the interns. It is advised that prospective interns be able to reside within Abuja or bear the cost of residing in Abuja throughout the duration of the internship, as PLAC will not provide accommodation nor relocation costs.

Requirements for PLAC Legislative Internship

Nigerian citizen between 21 and 35 years of age

At least a first degree in any discipline from a Tertiary Institution

Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme

Good English writing and speaking skills

Good computer skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Selection Process

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
  • The internship provides for equal opportunity participation. Eligible persons from across Nigeria, including Persons with Disability (PWD), are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the internship recruitment portal: https://placng.zohorecruit.com/jobs/Careers
  2. Complete the web application form and upload your CV in Microsoft Word format and saved in your name. Please include your State of origin, date of birth, and where you served (NYSC) on your CV.
  3. A “Statement of Interest/Purpose” explaining the importance of your participation in the internship should be included on the last page of your CV. The CV section should not be more than two pages long, while the Statement of Purpose should not exceed 300 words. Overall, you should be uploading just one document.
  4. Complete the accompanying Pre-Screening Assessment Form.

Note that you will be required to copy and paste the Statement of Purpose from your CV on the online application form.
