Tolu Odebiyi is the son of Kemi and Jonathan Odebiyi. Odebiyi's father was a former senator and his mother was a member of the Independent National Electoral Comission. He earned a B.sc degree in Building Construction and Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston and an associate degree in Engineering Technology from University of Massachusetts, Lowell campus.
Tolu Odebiyi got his elementary education in Okemesi, Ekiti state before attending the Polytechnic in Ibadan to acquire his Higher school certificate. He left the shores of Nigeria to further his education in the United states of America.
He later started his professional career in Real Estate and later ventured into politics.
As a means of giving back to the society, the Tolu Odebiyi Scholarship awards high achieving undergraduate students of Ogun Senatorial district 100,000.00 Naira only on yearly basis for the duration of their school program
