Science Communication Hub Nigeria is a community of Nigerian scientists, from graduate students to professors, based within and outside Africa, united by a passion for science.
Mission
- Enhance the visibility of Nigerian scientists, generate an accessible database of their science stories, as well as spread the stories to inspire the future generations of scientists
- Promote public understanding of science & technology and dispel misconceptions about it
- Facilitate collaboration between Nigerian scientists and journalists to support accurate communication of science
- Facilitate collaboration between Nigerian scientists and their counterparts within and outside Africa in research or public engagement, make them easily accessible to aspiring scientists and connect them (or their views) to journalists, educators and policymakers
- Mentor students and junior researchers in Nigeria, Africa and worldwide to contribute to the global pool of talented innovators
