MTN Foundation Scholarships for Nigerian students 2020

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (MTN STSS) was established by MTN Nigeria Communications Limited in July 2004 as an initiative targeted at improving the education of the youths over the country.

The Shell Scholarship Program is open every year for outstanding students who seek financial support for their education. 

The Shell Scholarship Undergraduate program is a scheme created by the renowned Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd. It was established to promote academic excellence among well-deserving Nigerian students pursuing their undergraduate study at an accredited Nigerian University.

The scheme awards the sum of 150,000 naira to each successful applicant from the year they win the scholarship till they graduate from the university.

The Scholarship has two categories namely; the National Merit Award which is available to all Nigerian undergraduates and the Areas of Operation Merit Awards which is available to only indigenes of the SPDC's operational areas.

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a new scholarship program which replaces the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) offers scholarships to a large number of master’s programmes at Swedish Universities in the Autumn of 2024.

  1. MEXT Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded)

MEXT Scholarship 2024-2025 is a fully funded scholarship for Nigerian students. This scholarship is available for undergraduate, masters, PhD and training studies. MEXT scholarship will cover tuition fee, accommodation, monthly living allowance and round airfare travel expenses from your country to Japan.

  • Allowances: Monthly Stipend Allowance, Preparatory Allowance (2024 Rate)

  • Education Fees: Fees for the Entrance Examination, Tuition Fee at Universities will be paid by MEXT.

  • Traveling Expenses: Transportation to Japan: MEXT will cover your Round Airfare Travel Expenses from your Country to Japan. The Airline ticket will be an Economy-class ticket for the flight.

  • Accommodations: Residence halls for international students provided by universities.

  • Applicants must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.

  • Undergraduate applicants must be at least 17 and under 25 years of age and have completed 12 years of school education in a school comparable to a high school 

  • Applicants for Masters / PhD studies must be under 35 years of age and a college graduate 

  • Applicants for teacher training students must be under 35 years of age and a graduate of a college or teacher training college. 

  • For Japanese Study Students: Applicants must be from 18 to 30 years old.

  • Download the MEXT scholarship application form and fill it.
